See what it is all about. 2 hour course, On shore briefing, practice on simulator and then on water. Cost 2 hours £45. Non refundable booking deposit £10.
Beginners Windsurfing Course
Land based session on simulator, plenty of practice time afloat with coaching,. Use of wide style beginners boards which are stable and manoeuvrable allowing you to progress rapidly. Sessions on safety, equipment and sailing theory to ensure you get the most out of your course. Run over the weekend in 3 X 3 hour sessions. Cost £150. Non refundable booking deposit £30.

Courses are run under the guidance of Royal Yachting Association qualified instructors
Safety :
The safety of the participants will be paramount at all times. Those intending to take part in a course should be able to swim and be comfortable with activities on the water. All or part of the course may have to be postponed if the weather is deemed to be unsuitable, or bad weather alternatives may be arranged. Safety cover will be provided at all times and every trainee will be provided with a buoyancy aid. All participants must comply with instructions given for their own safety.
What the price includes :
The provision of suitable equipment for the use of participants throughout the course, cost of all training and safety cover and the use of Newcastle Yacht Club facilities. If, as a result of taking the Beginners Windsurfing Course the trainee applies to become a member of Newcastle Yacht Club within the same calendar year the normal joining fee of £48.00 will be waived
What you must bring :
The cost of the course does NOT include lunches or the provision of wetsuits. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the clubhouse. It is suggested that a packed lunch and refreshments are brought. Participants should obtain a wetsuit (a limited number are available at the club, please check availability before attending) and wear an old pair of trainers or wetsuit boots. They should also bring a towel and warm dry clothing. Shower facilities are freely available in the Clubhouse.<
