Severne Sails NCX

The goal for the NCX this year was to create a faster sail with increased wind range, ultimately this has moved it further from the Gator as it becomes more locked in and speed oriented.

Overview

• No-cam, high-speed freeride sail.
• Monofi lm power zone for crisper response.
• Emphasis is on an extremely balanced sail, with built in shock-absorbing properties to allow the rider to maintain a comfortable stance through gusts
and chop, and provide a huge wind range.
• Dropped Clew allows shorter boom lengths to be used resulting in a more direct feel.

Rig Ergonomics
More upright stance than last year, drives off the fifi n more, for increased speed potential.

New for 2008
• Faster than last year with increased wind range.
• Increased stability. More luff curve has increased skin tension. Locked in feel.
• 7.5 features an additional batten for increased stability and performance.

Compared to the (e)lement2
• Softer feel than the (e)lement2 and less locked in.
• NCX is better in choppier conditions due to softer feel.
• The NCX works better in its upper wind range.

Compared to the Gator
• The NCX is faster and more stable.
• NCX is crisper in response due to the monofi lm construction
• The NCX has a lower foot angle making it more blasting orientated.
