Morphing the absolute highest technology in materials and construction with ongoing refi nement and good old fashioned on the water R&D, the S-1 redefi nes wave performance.

The technology in materials and construction allows us to reduce weight, enhance durability and increase rig response. This translates into a throw around
factor that gives the rider the feeling of a smaller rig without the power sacrifi ce.

Construction

• e4 Laminate upper body
• Aramid Torsion Frame.
• ARC - Aramid Radial Clew distributes the load evenly into the sail body.
• Heavy Duty 25mm double stitched window and impact area for increased durability.
• Seamless foot construction with Pro-tec hidden seam load patches.
• Coloured X-Ply for durable colour without increased weight.
• 5 Mil X-Ply rig perimet for maximum durability on the outer edges of the rig.

Improvements for 2008:

• Increased durability -New Aramid Radial Clew.
• Reduced weight -New sandwich batten pockets offer reduced weight by having an ultra low stretch inner layer combined with a high durability
outer layer.
• Increased size range – Larger sizes 5.9 + for light wind conditions and more freestyle orientation.
• New Dura sleeve LT on Sizes 5.9 and larger, reduces the rig weight on the larger sizes.

• 4.3: Five batten confi gurations, optimised for use on 370 Blue Line mast. Rig ergonomics optimised for high wind control
• 4.5 - 5.6: Five batten confi gurations, optimised for use on 400 Red Line mast. Rig ergonomics optimised for reactive performance.
• 5.9 – 6.3: Five batten confi gurations, optimised for use on 430 Red Line mast. Rig ergonomics optimised for freestyle and light wind wave sailing.

In 2007 Severne redefined technology in wave sails by introducing the e4, this ensured the lowest weight possible in a robust high tech laminate. Building on their
evolution in the e series materials, for 2008 they developed the e4. The Aramid scrim of the e4 is replaced by a new generation Technora Scrim, this improves
the pliability and durability of the cloth offering longer-term performance against UV and general use.
